|BiographyAndrea Gaglione is a Technologist at Digital Catapult, where he is responsible for initiating and developing new innovation projects in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT). He has over 10 years’ experience in academia and industry, building sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, and IoT infrastructures. His current work focuses on fostering and driving business adoption of IoT and low-power wide-area networks, and establishing digital marketplaces for IoT-enabled smart cities.Andrea is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Digital Catapult, he was a Research Associate at the same university and Imperial College London, and a Research Scholar at the University of Southern California. He also worked at Leonardo – Finmeccanica (Italy), where he led the development of a brand new concept for an integrated airport system. Andrea holds a PhD in Computer and Automation Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (Italy).|
